We're working on a custom 10'6" paddle board right now. The top deck is cut out and we're getting ready to start the bottom. This board will also have a personalized logo on the bottom deck when it's done.

Barefoot Boards® is a small family run business based in Oregon. We build custom handcrafted hollow wooden stand up paddle boards, surfboards, and body boards. We "re-use" a high percentage of salvaged wood in the construction of each and every one of our boards. In other words... we take someone's old neglected deck or fence boards and make them into one of these sweet rides.

January on the Oregon Coast
We headed over to the coast today to check on some possible damage from the recent flooding. The weather was amazing on the beach. In the upper 50s with almost no wind. A perfect day for hunting for treasures. We discovered interesting shells, fossils, and driftwood pieces on our visit.
There are always giant logs scattered along the beaches in Oregon. Luckily for our daughter, a number of them had been pushed up far enough on the beach that we let her do a little exploring. Around that log is where she found some of the more unique shells.
Too bad we didn't bring a board with us on this trip!

We had dressed warm expecting the typical cool, windy conditions.

Anyone up for a paddle...
There's been lots of flooding in our area. The section of the Willamette River that we paddled on last July now looks like a muddy, churning, lake.
